SHERMAN CO., OR -A Washington truck driver sustained injuries Wednesday in a crash involving two 18-wheelers along the highway in northwest Sherman County.
Emergency teams responded shortly after 7 p.m. to reports of a truck accident along Highway 97 in Biggs Junction.
Officials say that a northbound 2016 Kenworth semi hauling glass bottles sideswiped a southbound 2018 Kenworth.
Medics airlifted the 35-year-old driver of the 2018 Kenworth to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the 2016 Kenworth was unhurt in the collision. Authorities arrested him on multiple charges, including reckless driving, driving with an expired commercial license, and reckless endangerment.
