Narrative
ALBANY, OR – One adult and one teenager died Monday in a two-vehicle crash involving a commercial motor vehicle in northwest Linn County.
Shortly before 8 p.m., emergency crews responded to OR-226 at Old Bridge Drive in Albany, about 30 miles southwest of Salem.
Police say that a westbound CMV struck an eastbound Buick SUV when the driver of the latter vehicle attempted a left turn across the highway.
The driver of the SUV and a teen passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities identified the driver of the Buick as 55-year-old Jarri Saul.
Medics airlifted a second teen passenger from the Buick to area hospital with serious injuries.
It’s unclear if the driver of the CMV sustained injuries n the collision.
